BMW is giving the X2 more flair by making an appearance package called Edition GoldPlay which is available for the 2023 model year. It is also offering on the sDrive281 and xDrive281i models. Also, this exciting bundle does include specific green paint, gold accents inside and out, and many M Sport bits.
BMW – Edition GoldPlay Package
The Edition GoldPlay Package has a paint color called San Remo Green Metallic. It is one of the most distinctive parts of this package. It is also naming after a town on Italy’s Mediterranean coast. Also, it is not available on other variants of the X2. Though it is offering on other BMW models like the 4 Series. Moreover, the buyers can also select Alpine White, Black Sapphire Metallic, Skyscraper Gray Metallic, and the Storm Bay Metallic from BMW’s individual palette.
In fact, every GoldPlay is receiving an M Sport suspension system. It is lower than the standard setup. That is the M Aerodynamics package. It has a high-gloss black and Dark Shadow exterior trim.
Also, the Galvanic Gold accents on the standard 19-inch and optional 20-inch wheels do add a finishing touch. Plus, the European-spec cars do also get gold-look accents on the kidney grilles. In addition, to the mirror caps, the American models will stay more subtle.
There are Gold-colored accents also appearing on the door sills, on the dashboard, on the center console, and on the leather-upholstered M Sport seats. The goldish-yellow lines on the passenger side of the dashboard are laser-engraved and sealed with a clear lacquer, according to BMW.
Also, there are no mechanical changes to report. The Edition GoldPlay does come from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine turbocharged to deliver 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. In fact, the eight-speed automatic transmission is linking to a pair of steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles that spin in the front wheels in the sDrive281i model.
