FORT WORTH, TX – Serious questions abound after a 19-year-old man suffered a fatal gunshot injury. The incident occurred in a west Fort Worth home on Monday morning. Authorities have definitely ruled that the incident was indeed a homicide.

Rytwann Montae Lee passed away due to the bullet wound he endured to his face at approximately 4:34 a.m. According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, the violence happened at a house on Bonnell Avenue.

Fort Worth Police say that a man and woman were soundly sleeping when the were suddenly awoken. A firearm had apparently discharged, though they were unclear as to where the shot came from. Police echoed this same information on Thursday when inquiries were made about the alleged crime.

Fort Worth Police dispatched at around 4:20 a.m. to the suspected shooting in the 5100 block of Bonnell Avenue. In fact, more than 25 units arrived at the crime scene location. This figure was confirmed by the police call log.

The call log states that the caller say “they shot her boyfriend.”

Authorities have yet to indicated who, in fact, the shooter was.

Police officer, Tracy Carter, who’s also a police spokesman, said in reference to arrests or potential suspects, “it’s still being investigated.” They also said they are still actively trying to determine if the gunshot occurred from inside or outside the apartment.
